What about YOU?

So, we've been sharing what preparing for the Celebration has been doing for all of us.

But, what about you?

Tell us:
1.) What you've liked about the rehearsals
2.) How you feel about the temple
3.) What you've done for the "What Will I Give" project
or
4.) How you hope your life is different after May 29 & 30

We want to hear about YOUR experience!

  2. I LOVE going to the Conference Center for the Rehearsals! I have always wanted to perform on that stage, and this is my first opportunity! It is such an amazing feeling to be up there, and our dance is looking great! I'm so excited for the Celebration!! :)

I am so grateful to live in this valley and have so many temples so close! I went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house last week, and it is so beautiful! I can't wait until it's dedicated and I can go perform baptism there!

  3. 1.)I'm singing in the choir, and the last song, we're singing, Come to the Mountain of the Lord. It's the most amazing, spirit feeling song. I'm so excited to sing it, especially because the outfit we're supposed to wear I know will make us all look like future missionaries, and that just makes me feel excited and happy and grateful inside :)

2.)The temple is my escape. I call it my second home. the Salt Lake Temple is "my temple". I love it with all my heart and soul, if I were ever to move away from it unwillingly, I would just fall apart. I cannot survive without the Lord's temple.

3.)I'm choosing to make it to the temple once a week and putting the Lord's kingdom before anything as my project :)

4.)After this, I know the blessings I get when I attend the temple will be even greater, and I will walk away with a confirmed feeling all of this is truth :) and nothing more.

I'm so very grateful for this blog, the text messages, and the youth council for their advice and guidance in their posts everyday :) I love it, and I really hope something like this continues after the amazing celebration!

  4. 1.) I just being with my friends to celebrate the upcoming of the temple.

2.) I reall love all the temples the same. I had the opportunity to go and pick up the Draper Temple after everyone toured it. Sure it was alot of work but I feel that it has changed my life forever. I hope this experience will do the same.

3.) I have done absolutely nothing for the "What Will I Give" project. I actually didnt even hear it or what it was about.

4.) I hope that on May 29 and May 30 My perspective of the chruch as a whole will strengten. I hope that those are 2 days I will never forget for the rest of my life. I also hope that this experience pushes me to go on my mission. Hoping for some serious spiritual experiences.

  5. I have had so much fun doing the Temple Celebration. I have been looking forward to our dance practices all week, every week. I am so excited to dance in front of our Lord's Prophet. This is going to be something that none of us will ever forget, and I know we will never ever regret participating in something that will help us throughout our lives if not now.

  6. I love this Temple Celebration! It's been such a wonderful experience! I just LOVE going to the Celebration rehearsals and it's been SO fun going to the Conference Center to practice. I'm so excited to dance for President Monson!!! I'm so grateful for the Temple in my life and I love going to the Draper Temple and doing baptisms! I know it really is the house of the Lord. This has strengthened my testimony of the Gospel and Temples. I'm going to attend the Temple more and finish Personal Progress and share my testimony for my project. Thanks so much for this awesome blog and the text messages!

I do not care how much time I have to give up for the rehearsals just the feeling of being at the conference center is worth all of those hours! THis truly is a once in a life time chance and i am glad to be apart in it!!!!

  8. I have been dancing for the Oquirrh Mountain Celebration. It has been so cool. Last night my dad gave me his testimony of this. As a captain of 5 he said that watching us a practice has made the spirit so strong within him. He said he was on the verge of tears when he watched us a practice at the Confrence Center. That testimony made me feel more trongly that we are doing the right thing.

  9. This Temple Celebration has really taught me why I am here. About 9 months ago i moved to Utah and at the time I really didnt know why. I was always, "Why here?"

Now that the Temple Celebration has come about, I now know why. i was send here to expecince the great things of Utah, such as the tempple. Doing the Celebration, I've started to realize that there is a perpose for everything that happens to us.

I've felt closer to my Heavenly Father in the past few months, working on the Celebration, and I really ever had, the whole time in Utah.

I'm very greatful to be apart of something great. to be able to show and say to the Lord thanks for the great temple that we have. That for the place that we have to live were temples are all around us.

Living back in Oregon, it was a 4 hour drive to get to the closest temple. Now its just a couple of mintues away, and i now do all i can to go to the temple as much as possible.

I thank God for a profit to guide us in these day. That through his inspiration we were albe to do this great work of the Celeberation.

I'm greatful that I am getting closer to my Heavenlt Father through this experince.

  11. The rehearsals were the greatest oppurturnity to be in the conference center. THe night of the Oquirrh Mountain District performance was the best experience of my life. I have never felt the spirit so strong flow through me. From the first performance to the end you i know everyone can feel it. Every single dance was crazy i loved everyone one. I was in the haka. which was an amazing experience learning how to perform such a cultural dance. After the performance i got so many appraisal and comments from the dance. If you guys watched i was the one that went crazy. I felt like i was a Mauri Warrior. This shows that I am a son of god. celebrating the lords house that one day my family can be sealed together FOREVER!!!
